Hey guys, I'm back again with another casual fly at the local park, the camera is held onto the frame only by some velcro battery straps (thank god whoever invented this stuff is genius!) FPV video equipment is ready for a live video stream downlink to my ground station but I think this will be at a later stage when it's less windy and I can fly 'blindfolded' It was awfully windy today and I'm still pretty noob at flying (aimlessly floating around) so I kept max altitude at about 3m, I know it looks a lot higher in the vid The wind also explains my hard landing at the end! -.- no damage done and... finally to save your ears from the buzzing which sounds like a swarm of angry bees I've drowned it out with one of my favorite songs: Ehrencrona - This is so good (not Avicii!!) Ten years since fighting started in Afghanistan, British Army soldiers have been transformed as almost every piece of equipment has been replaced or upgraded to cope with the conflict. Now, desert boots replace jungle boots and the new multi terrain pattern is designed to blend into almost any background. Small arms have been improved as the latest additions to the SA80 a2 are a world away from the unreliable a1. The newest body armour provides vastly better protection. The only armoured vehicle currently used in Afghanistan that was even around in 2001 is the Warrior. Much of the new kit has come in as urgent operational requirements and that means it faces an uncertain future beyond Afghanistan.
